Hi everyone

We now have 64 signatures, but we need a lot more if we are to be successful in getting Congress to pass the IRE Immigration Bill. Please forward our email to people you know, asking them to support this bill. We need to get this petition out to as many people as possible including friends, family, organizations, media etc. Everything takes time, but there is urgency behind this bill as it is a temporary measure that will afford Irish nationals both skilled and unskilled, with the much needed opportunity to live and work legally in the United States, and then after a few years return home to a brighter future.

Just click on the link below, and sign up. It’s that easy, and only takes a minute.

This year, Failte 32’s weekly social evening (dollar beers and free food!), will be held every Monday evening at P.D. O’Hurley’s on 174 West 72nd St.
This is a great way for those of you on the Summer J-1 to have an inexpensive night out, and meet others on the J-1 program. Compliments of Paul Hurley, Owner of P.D. O’Hurley’s Restaurant and Bar Group.

Hello,
I hope all is well with you.
I just found Failte 32. I think its a great idea and I’m very excited
about moving over. I’m looking for any job vacancies in the
hospitality industry whether it be a server or bartender. I’m over the
age of 21 so I can legally serve drink. I’m an extremely hard worker
and am very dedicated to my work. I have a lot of experience in the
hospitality industry and feel I would be an asset to many companies. I
have a lot of energy that I will channel into my work.
I arrive in New York on the 27/06/2012 and am legally allowed to work
from the 3rd of july on.
I can forward you my resume if you so wish
I’m really looking forward to hearing from you and moving over.
Kindest Regards,
Katie Cochrane

From Cathy Hogan, First Vice President United Irish Counties Association of New York (www.uicany.org):

Any support you can give will be greatly appreciated!

The Catskills Irish Arts Week is in its 18th year in the Northern Catskills region in Greene County and will take place July 15-21, 2012. Funding from public and private sources is down in the past few years and the need is extremely critical and urgent at present if the Catskills Irish Arts Week is to survive a very steep challenge this year…and its future existence.

$7,999 has already been pledged towards their goal of $10,000!

NYIC Tir Na NOg Children’s Festival: Enroll Now!

Starts July 16. Kids in the appropriate age ranges (7-9 and 10-12). See link below.

It’ll be a great way for kids to spend a couple of weeks this summer, and also to help the parents pass on some of their Irish heritage to their kids. We have a great bunch of instructors and facilitators lined up.
