Hi everyone

Next week, we will have an update from our immigration attorney, Caro Kinsella, on developments relating to comprehensive immigration reform.
Since the announcement by a bipartisan group of Senators to offer a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million illegal immigrants based in the U.S., Caro and Failte 32 have taken a more cautious view point as to when, and the extent to which, this will happen.
In our role as a part Irish lobbyist group, it’s important that we disseminate information cautiously (optimistically) without prematurely raising the hopes of the undocumented or potential undocumented. One thing certain about Congress is uncertainty.
Hopes were raised for the E3 visa but this seems to have been eclipsed by the current comprehensive immigration reform discussions.
Remember, to sign up for the proposed IRE immigration that can at least offer an interim solution to those who might otherwise end up being undocumented, and immediately switch off the tap of undocumented Irish entering the U.S. The IRE Irish Immigration Bill can be a useful and practical bridge to comprehensive immigration reform. https://www.failte32.org/contact-us/2427-2/
“Six Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee have written a letter to chairman Sen. Patrick Leahy seeking to extend the period of time devoted to consideration of any comprehensive immigration reform proposal.” Read more by clicking on link below:
